Barry Goldwater Jr. is a former 7-term Republican Congressman who served California's 27th District from 1969-1983. He is the son of the late Senator Barry Goldwater of Arizona, who was the Republican nominee for President in 1964. Barry Goldwater Jr. now serves on the Board of Directors of the Goldwater Institute, a nonprofit political think tank that promotes the ideas of individualism, voluntarism, and restriction of government powers. Goldwater also serves as the director of the National Collector's Mint.
